Using "The Right Clamp"™, "The Splice Clamp"™ and "The Combo Right Clamp"™:
- First step is to loosen the Brass Thumb Nuts on the Mid Screws.
- The End Screws act as rotating studs for adjusting the nut captivated in the end of the Brass Clamping Tube.
- Rotate the End Screws to adjust for the thickness of the parts to be clamped.
- Insert parts in clamp under Rubber Clamping Pads.
- Tighten the Brass Thumb Nuts slightly and adjust the parts until they are in proper alignment.
- Notches (rectangular holes) on clamp Base Bars or Base Angle allow access to back side of parts.
- Increase tension on Thumb Nuts until parts are held firmly in place.
- Apply glue sparingly as needed to wick into seam between parts and let dry.
- For wood parts, one of the parts can temporarily be moved out of position to apply the glue.
- If desired, a Reinforcing Stiffener of similar material can be added to the seam for extra strength.
- Groove (on Splice Clamps) or Chamfer (on Right Clamps) allows clearance behind glue joint.
- Aluminum Base Bars and Base Angles are coated with Silicone to help prevent parts from being accidentally glued to them.
- When glue is dry the Thumb Nuts can be loosened and the assembled part removed.
